Ancient Reset

The Team Behind Ancient Reset

Ancient Reset is built and hosted by a small, deliberate team. Each person on this page is here because of who they are, not because the role needed to be filled. We will introduce more team members here as the property grows.

Founder

Mahmoud Y. Elguindi

My name is Mahmoud Y. Elguindi. I was born and raised in Egypt, and I have spent roughly half my life in the United States, moving between states, building a career in technology. Twelve years in the field, most of them in executive roles. I still consult.

Somewhere in the middle of all of it I broke. Not dramatically. Quietly, the way most people in this kind of work break. A neck injury that would not heal. Tennis elbow from a job that has nothing to do with tennis. The slow accumulation of a decade of nine to fives that were really seven to elevens, of hustling day in and day out, of telling myself the next quarter would be the one I finally rested.

I tried the places everyone tries. Tulum, Bali, Ibiza, Mykonos, Crete, Cyprus, Bodrum. Beautiful, all of them. I still go back. But I never once arrived in any of them and felt the thing I had gone looking for. The crowds were always there. The prices were always inflated. Off the grid was always somewhere else.

So I went home.

The land Ancient Reset sits on is where I grew up. Almost two acres on the western bank of the Suez Canal, the family home, the place I went back to when my body finally told me to stop. It is the only place in my life that has ever been genuinely quiet. The food is the food I was raised on. The water has been outside that window for as long as I can remember.

I built this for the version of myself who needed it ten years ago and could not find it. If that sounds familiar, you already know whether this is for you.

Co-Founder

Tulin Elberry

My name is Tulin Elberry. My work has always been about people. For years, I've been organizing and coordinating experiences where every detail matters, learning how to read a room, anticipate needs, and create something that feels effortless for others.

Along the way, I was drawn to something deeper. I studied nutrition and positive psychology, and earned my certification from ICT, to better understand how people feel, heal, and reconnect with themselves.

When Mahmoud first told me about the idea of a retreat in Egypt, I didn't need time to think. I felt it. Not just as an idea, but as something we could build together, for our future, and for others who might need a space like this more than they realize.

We share a vision for what this can become. An escape from the noise of everyday life, and a sanctuary where people can slow down, feel safe, and reconnect with themselves.

Because sometimes, what people need is not advice or another solution. Just a space that allows them to come back to themselves.

That's what this is. My role is to hold that space with care and intention, creating an experience that feels real, simple, and lasting.

If this resonates with you, then you already understand why we built this.
