When you contact us, join our waitlist, or make a reservation, we collect the information you provide including your name, email address, phone number, and payment details. When you browse our website, we may collect standard analytics data including your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time on site.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information you provide to respond to your inquiries, process reservations, send booking confirmations and pre-arrival information, and communicate with you about your stay at Ancient Reset. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR Article 6)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, we process your personal data under the following legal bases: (1) Consent — for marketing communications and non-essential analytics cookies, which you may withdraw at any time; (2) Contract — to fulfil your booking, process payment, and deliver the retreat; (3) Legitimate Interests — for website analytics, fraud prevention, and service improvement, where these interests are not overridden by your rights.
Data Processors
We share data with the following trusted processors who act on our instructions: Supabase (database and image storage, United States); Vercel (website hosting and edge infrastructure, United States); Stripe (payment processing, United States — PCI-DSS compliant); Resend (transactional email delivery, United States); Orchids (development platform and website analytics, United States). Each processor is contractually bound to protect your data and use it only as directed by us.
International Data Transfers
Our service providers are based primarily in the United States. If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, your personal data may be transferred to and processed in the United States. Where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, or applicable adequacy decisions, to ensure your data receives an equivalent level of protection.
Data Retention
We retain your personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this policy. Waitlist and enquiry data is retained until you request deletion or for a maximum of three years of inactivity. Booking records are retained for seven years to comply with tax and accounting legal obligations. Analytics data is retained in aggregated or anonymised form.
Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you have the following rights regarding your personal data: the right to access a copy of your data; the right to rectification of inaccurate data; the right to erasure ('right to be forgotten'); the right to restrict processing; the right to data portability; the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests; and the right to withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent. Our website uses three categories of cookies: (1) Strictly Necessary — required for the site to function, including the booking flow and payment; (2) Analytics — used to understand how visitors use the site and improve the experience (requires consent); (3) Marketing — used for retargeting advertisements via platforms such as Meta and Google (requires consent). Children's Privacy
Ancient Reset is a retreat intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under 18. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us immediately at info@ancientreset.com and we will delete it promptly.
Payment Processing
All payment information is processed securely through Stripe, a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor. Ancient Reset does not store your full credit card details on our servers.
